NEXT MEETING APRIL 11TH, 2019
ANZAC COMMEMORATION MEETING AT CLAYTON RSL 171 Carinish Road, Clayton from 11.30am.
Our Guest speaker will have a military background and has been arranged through Vice President Con La Fauci.
The premises have been fully refurbished, and Noel Beanland with President Ken Crawford and David Knuckey visited the venue and were impressed with the ambience and the quality of service in the restaurant….an improvement on the premise we visited several years ago.
The menu is a fixed menu with soup and two main courses served alternately with complimentary tea and coffee in bottomless cups and Noel and David have been able to settle on a price of $20 per head plus drinks at bar prices…. a bottle of red and white wine will be provided by the Committee for each table.
Ample parking at the venue
While the Pakenham, Cranbourne line will be impacted on the day of our meeting – Thursday 11 April looking at the PTV web site there will be buses to replace trains between Flinders Street and Caulfield, then trains down to Pakenham or Cranbourne passing through Clayton station which is our focus.
According to PTV staff their advice to me was that the buses will pick up at Flinders Station.
I think just allow some extra time for the trip is what will be needed for those coming via public transport. LINKS TO PUBLIC TRANSPORT for updated information… https://ptv.vic.gov.au/journey
For those members able to board trains at Caulfield the Pakenham or Cranbourne trains stop at Clayton
All are welcome to the luncheon meeting and let Joan or Ron Adams know if you need more information nearer the date of the meeting.
