John Brown had a phone call from David's wife, Wendy, to advise that David passed away peacefully last night, 14 June 2020, aged 80.
David had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease many years ago, but had been able to make the most of his life with support from Wendy.
He was a Past President and Life Member of both the ANZ Bank Staff Social Club and the ANZ Basketball Club. He attended most of the Queen's Birthday ANZ Sporting Weekends at Wagga Wagga where he was a prominent player in the basketball team, and also played golf for the Victorian contingent. This was also where David first met Wendy.
He was a keen golfer and a regular at the ANZROC (Vic) Mansfield Trips , and for a number of years he also helped organise the very successful annual golf visits to Traralgon.
Wendy advised that David would be a privately cremated, however when the isolation days are over, a get-together for friends would be arranged.
David was well known and will be missed by many.
