ANZ BANK/ ALBERT PARK FOOTBALL CLUB HONOURS TWO STALWARTS OF THE ANZ / ALBERT PARK FOOTBALL CLUB FOR OVER 50 YEARS
Congratulations Brian Christensen and Bill (Jet) Jackson on having the great honour bestowed of the Albert Park (ANZ) Football Club, social club rooms, being named “The Brian Christensen Rooms” and the Bar being named the “ The Bill Jackson Bar”
Brian was an inaugural and the longest serving member of ANZ Football Club which has continued within the membership of the Albert Park Football Club. Albert Park FC was formed to save the ANZFC sliding into oblivion some years back.
A strong ANZ Presence has been maintained with the display of ANZFC Honour boards, (which also feature Chrisso and Jet), momento’s and Premiership Flags in the “Brian Christensen( Social) Room”.
Congratulations also to Bill (Jet) Jackson of having the Bar named the “Bill Jackson Bar” (Jet played over 350 games and holds the record for most games played)
It was a moving moment and brought a tear or two, when announced unexpectedly, prior to the annual Past Players Day
Is wonderful that the Albert Park Football club is maintaining the grass roots history in such a way
Was also pleasing to have a good roll up at the past players day with a crowd of around 100 in attendance
