Vale Respected ANZROC Honorary Member P.M.(Peter) Jackson aged 80 years passed away on 10/07/2020

Athol Watkins advised me today of the passing of Peter Jackson on 10/07/2020 after a long period of ill health. Athol first met Peter in Bendigo where Peter was in ANZ and ESANDA.

Vale Respected ANZROC Honorary Member Will J (Will) BAILEY AO aged 87 years passed away 13/08/2020

Maria Natoli emailed “It is with great sadness that I am writing to let you know that Will Bailey passed away in hospital this morning with Dorothy by his side.  Will had a fall at home last week and sustained a serious brain injury from which he did not recover.  In recent months, Will had not been in the best of health.

A very special person has left us.”

Will was  CEO of ANZ Banking Group from 1984-1992 , well known to many ANZROC members and a great supporter of ANZROC and a regular contributor to our Newsletter.

Will Bailey will be missed !!!

Vale ANZROC Honorary Member Lester Glen (Glen) TWIDALE aged 89 years on 16/07/2020

 

Lyn Horsfaldaughter of Glen Twidale emailed “It is with a sad heart that we advise the passing of “Lester Glen Twidale peacefully last night, 16th July 2020, aged 89.

Glen had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease many years ago, but had been able to make the most of his life with support of his family, friends, and Claremont Terrace Aged Care in McKinnon Vic.

He joined the E S & A Bank, Toowoomba QLD (now ANZ) in 1947.

Held management positions from 1963 onwards.

From 1973 to retirement and in 1989 he held a variety of senior executive positions in the bank or its subsidiary companies in Tasmania, South Australia, and Victoria where he lived.

Glen involved himself in many different activities including ANZROC Vic, Life member of Apex, Freemasons Hospital, Mt Waverley Probus and Auburn Heights Bowling Club.

A keen golfer for many years, a keen St. Kilda supporter along and many other interests such as music and dancing. He was a very devoted family man to his wife Naida (Dec), three daughters, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Glen will have a private ceremony in the coming week.

Glen will be sadly missed by so many people.”

Ron Adams said Glen was my boss when I was GM Ops in ESANDA and he was MD….he went on to take up a  General Manager role in ANZ before retiring. He will be missed
